Fitting Versa 2 into the charging cradle

Hi, I’ve swapped out the original strap on my versa 2 (it broke) with a stainless steel one.  There are no two ends, the strap is just an all in one with a centre clasp.  Because it’s an all in one it now won’t fit in the charging cradle.  It means if I want to charge it I have to disconnect the pin at one end that connects to the watch.  Am I doing something wrong or is what I’m doing supposed to be how you charge with this kind of strap?

Hello @Petersbrooke and a warm welcome.  Is your band the Fitbit band or a third party band?  Does the center clasp open and close?  It doesn't lie flat enough to fit with the clasp open?
