I updated the app just now to 0.4.1 version.

Now there is an alternate solution, amd I improved the Instruction section (howto turn off the 'Always Connected' in the Fitbit app), maybe it will help.

Please Update the program to the latest 0.4.1 version, and follow the instructions.

Huawei p20 lite -versa

Hey guys! I hope you are doin' fine!

I can see that a few of you were able to sync your Versa with some of the Huawei models, such as Mate 10 or the Huawei Nova 3i, which sounds good, even considering that they aren't compatible devices. If your phones used to sync wit your Versa, but they are no longer working, you can always take a look at the troubleshooting steps in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?, just keep in mind that is not guaranteed that these steps will work.

I'll be around so keep me posted!

@czandor thank you very much for it

Yes, the fix is a godsend. However, it's not official, so I wouldn't buy a Fitbit while you have to rely on 3rd parties to work around fitbits crappy code.

hi everyone. Sorry to hear that you are still having issue syncing your Fitbit device with your Huawei or Honor phone. some Huawei "lite" have some difficulties syncing with Fitbit devices due to their bluetooth implementation and have been found as incompatible. You can read more about this here. Still you can try refreshing the link between your phone and your device by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

definitely something with the app and hardware for some top end Huawei phones.
When setting up, get to the point where phone recognises the watch but then just won't actually connect

Welcome aboard @nova3iUSER! Some of the Huawei phones doesn't meet the requirements to connect with Fitbit devices. Also, there are some other Huawei that won't appear on the compatible devices list but, for some users, they work. And then we have those that of course are on that list and work great. So that being said, what is the type of phone that you have? Is it on the compatible devices list? In the meantime, you can also try the troubleshooting in this help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

Thanks for the update @DasaWhite924! Sounds good that your phone is working without inconveniences!

Let me know if you have further comments!

I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but the fitbit moderators really should be reading the entire thread here. Huawei phones work with literally every other bluetooth device I've tried. You're all repeating the same useless advice without acknowledging the fact that @czandor has created a fix app that works for most people and works around the terrible fitbit communications framework (which still needs completely re-writing). I am now advising everyone I know to steer clear of fitbit devices entirely (regardless of their phone), precisely for the reason that fitbit code is junk, and the fitbit support is essentially useless because the forums are filled with copypasta moderators who don't read the threads properly.

Everyone coming here looking for a fitbit fix should go and look at the Ticwatch Pro or other Android Wear device. At least until fitbit actually starts listening to their customers.

I have Huawei p20 lite and that is your problem. Because I had Garmin and Xiaomi and the watches worked. So I think that is only yours problem and you don't know how to solve it. But that is only my opinion

Thank you so very much for your quick answer. My trial membership is over I
think in two days, so I think I am going to go ahead and get the full
version and see what happens. It's worked for the past 8 days just until
today it hasn't worked. And if it still doesn't work after I pay for it I'm
only out six bucks.
Thank you very much for your reply
