Floors and Zone minutes wildly inaccurate since update

I am a little, old lady. According to my Versa 2, I've climbed 66 floors today!  I have 169 zone minutes, also today. Other than floors and zone, my Versa 2 seems unchanged since the update. I have no issues but these two. Steps are far too generous, but they always were since I got Versa 2 a year ago. I honestly do like my Versa 2, but I fervently wish that floors and zone were not so inaccurate. I did walk a half hour today, but I have climbed zero floors, not 66.

 

My Zip from way back was far more accurate than the Alta or the Versa on steps. I can live with the extra steps, but the insane floors are just too much.

Hi @swampmilkweed 

I'm sorry to hear you are having an accuracy issue since the update. May I ask if you have tried doing a restart? If not, I'd suggest doing that (hold down the button for 10+ seconds, you will eventually see the Fitbit log). After you've restarted, let us know if that has improved the accuracy or not.

I tried the restart as you instructed. The good news is that I did not lose today's steps as some users have complained. The bad news is that I still show 10 floors for today. We have a one-story house. The back porch is about four feet off the ground. The 29 zone minutes actually might be close to right as I did walk today.

Thanks for the update @swampmilkweed. Doing a reset wouldn't remove the floors, but it might stop it from adding more. Please keep an eye on it today. Also there are times that weather condition (changes in air pressure) and add extra floors. I did some test with a hair drier and I was able to add floors if the drier was blowing directly on it for an extended period of time.

I wish the reset had helped. It did not. My 10 floors went to 30 floors the day I reset. The next day floors were 0. I was happy, but it did not last. Monday 11 floors and Tuesday 35 floors! All of this is fake!

 

Zone minutes are even worse. Monday my versa 2 had 208 zone minutes. Tuesday it had 119 zone minutes. The really frustrating thing is that when I actually DO walk continuously, I get about 1/3 of the deserved zone minutes. Instead, my device gives me random zone minutes for sitting around the house.

 

Fitbit really needs to do another update to correct Zone and floors!!!
