Frustrated with Pairing My Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I purchased a Versa at the end of 2018.  It was working great until I started having synching issues a few weeks ago.  I unpaired it and tried to pair it again, but I was never able to get it to pair.  I chatted with someone from FitBit who walked me through everything to try and nothing worked.  So, I was sent a new Versa, which I received this week.  Today I discovered it hadn't synched since last night, so I tried to synch it, and it wouldn't synch. I unpaired it and tried to pair it again and now I'm having the same pairing problems I had with the other one.  I tried EVERYTHING I was told to try last time SEVERAL times and nothing's worked.  Anyone else have this problem?  What am I doing for this to happen TWICE!

@mturnau  may I ask what type of phone or computer are you having problems with?

With sync issues, when the app is not communicating with the tracker, simply removing the tracker from your account will only add problems, not fix the issue. We still need to fix the sync issue.

First thing you want to do is make sure that the Versa is not listed under the phones or computers Bluetooth. I know you say that it has never shown up there but please check anyway.

I would also restart the Versa, by holding in both the lower right and left buttons

I would also restart the device you some through.

The Android version is giving some people issues

I forgot to mention, I've...

- Deleted the devices that are paired with Bluetooth including Versa.

- Turned Bluetooth off/on

- Restarted Versa

- Uninstalled and reinstalled FitBit App

- Created a new FitBit account using a different email.

- Restarted my phone.

- And did a manufacturers reboot.

Nothing worked.  I can't even use it.  It stays on the screen that appears after the manufacturers reboot.  What now?

@mturnauypi need to setup the tracker using the Fitbit app, once the tracker is setup to your account then the fitbit app will pair the tracker.

With the latest 3 releases these are the steps tgatthave helped me the most

Clear the Fitbit cache

Restart phone

If i need to go more

Clear the Fitbit app data

Restart phone

Still not...

Uninstall the Fitbit app, restart phone, install the Fitbit app.

Why so much restarting, android still hasn't fixed itsitmemory managementm problem and we are now on Version 9. This has been an issue since Androod v1.0
