GPS on Versa doesn't always track

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am having a problem with GPS tracking on my Versa. It does only so intermittently, so I only get the map occasionally. I have checked all the standard things (Privacy Settings, Location Services, Cellular Data). Bluetooth sees my Versa. I tried some of the suggestions like restarting the app after logging out, restarting the phone etc. But when I go to "Exercise" and click on the "gear" to enter settings, there is no option to turn on GPS. I just see "GOALS" and a list of "AUTO RECOGNIZED EXERCISES". When I select "Run" there is a grayed-out line of text that says "GPS will not be turned on". And I don't see any place to turn on GPS like the instructions say.

Hi @NickB64, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not tracking GPS data properly. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how the GPS feature works on your Fitbit device. This article also contains some troubleshooting steps for you to follow.

Finally, monitor your watch for the next workout and see if it provides accurate GPS data.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
