I love my Fitbit as I love the numbers and tracking but I rode to work the other day like I usually do and used the watch to log the GPS route. I was also using an app on my phone at the same time. The problem I have is that on that particular day it only logged the beginning 2 miles and last 2 miles and nothing in between.
The app on the phone tracked the whole journey so I know it was not a GPS drop out or it wouldn't have recorded on the phone.
Any ideas as to why this happened? I love tracking my rides and have done for a couple years now just wondered why this particular day it decided that I hadn't the whole journey?
Thanks

I'm not sure what app was used on what phone to track the GPS. It could be that the Versa lost comunicationu with the phone. It should vibrate if this happens.

How do I set my versa up to track? I haven't found it anywhere on the app, pc dashboard or watch. I do a lot of hiking and would love for it to track.

By using the exercise app on the ionic, I'm not sure if Hike is installed by default but it is easy to add as explained in Question 2 of the FAQ
How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?
I would review the whole FAQ and then come back with any additional questions.

On the versa you go to the excercise app on the watch and select running. That would be best for hiking.
Another app to use on your phone that links with Fitbit is Endomondo.

I was using Endomondo on my phone aswell as cycling on the excercise app on the watch.
The phone didn’t drop out atall but the watch did. Funny thing is I done the same ride to work and used the watch to track it and it worked fine.
I like using the watch to track my dude because it automatically links with Strava.

On the Versa I would use the Exercise mode called Hike, not run @bmaxcey

How do you access that?
I’ve seen swim, run, bike, treadmill, weights and workout. Can i add or remove from the watch?
