@DIVACHEF Try this:
The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app facilitate that.
Additional tips if sync issues persist: If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues. Also, make sure Always Connected and All day sync are enabled.

@Bbartlett I'm not sure what the issue is that you are experiencing..
Are you saying that the tracker is not syncing and the data on the dashboard is not updating?
Or are you trying to update the firmware on the Versa and the tracker is syncing the data fine?

I am having the same issue with my Note 9. Just out of the box (my Versa) and it will not download the firmware update. I can't even get it to see the Versa to start it

@DIVACHEF all day sync simply means that periodically the app will try and sync, I think it is every twenty minutes.

Yes, I understand that. The point I am making is that it doesn't sync at all. Ever. Because it does not stay connected to Bluetooth.
Have you not noticed all the other threads with this same issue? I'm not takital about anything new here.

@DIVACHEF we are pointing out that to sync the tracker does not have to be connected to Bluetooth and the tracker does not even have to be on the list of trusted Bluetooth devices. As @Marrrmaduke points out your barking up the wrong perverbial tree.
The last time my Galaxy S8 failed to sync the solution was to remove the app and install a fresh copy..

Hey guys, I hope you are doin' fine!
@Bbartlett, welcome aboard! Sounds great that your Versa is finally updated. When you update it via Bluetooth, it will normally take longer and is better if there is no other Bluetooth device paired with your phone at that time.
Thanks for the update @DIVACHEF, sounds great that your Versa is working fine, even though you had to unpair your Fitbit One.
@drizzydraketeac, welcome to the Forums! The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 isn't a compatible device, so I'm afraid that you might experience connectivity issues. Can you please try to update your Versa using another compatible device? Let me know. 😉
Thanks for your help guys, @Rich_Laue and @Marrrmaduke!
I'll be around!

OMG - will you marry me? I've spent hours on the phone with fitbit, and pretty much they've told me I need to either buy a new phone or a different brand smart phone, and you fixed it in one post!
I'm guessing I'll need to do this daily, but THAT I can manage!
THANK YOU!
