When I first bought the Aria Scale, it was a real nightmare to connect. And I go through batteries like crazy because the thing just starts up randomly when I'm not even in the room! After moving, I tried to reconnect it through the app and my new network. The scale says it's connected, but the app just spins and spins and never connects.
I gave up and moved on - there was a message on the app saying that my Versa 2 requires an update. I tapped to start the update, but it too failed. I still get the message, but when I tap it, I get a screen with all the settings for it (Amazon Alexa, Gallery, Media, etc.) and a grey bar that just says "Update Tracker Software". No matter where I tap, nothing starts the update!
I restarted the Android, stopped the Fitbit app, and then re-opened it. It's not connecting to the Aria and it's not running the update.
The app is syncing with the Versa 2, so at least that's working.
I know the scale and the watch are not the latest and the greatest, but I've had three previous Fitbit models and they're just too expensive to keep having to replace. I'm actively looking for alternatives. Fitbit would need to offer an extremely steep discount for me to upgrade.
Garmin is looking good about now.

I have nearly the same problem!
i have been trying to connect my Versa to my phone and app as the time was always at lest 5 minutes behind. I did disconnect the watch and now can’t connect it back to my phone. I did everything people have said to do and nothing! 😩
