Getting weird gibberish on my screen instead of words on Versa 3

these past weeks instead of words it shows random number groups and letters. Tried the soft reboot, no luck.

the app on my phone is fine, syncs ok.

Haven't dropped or immersed in water etc---. purchased May 2021 after my 4 year old Ionic died.
