I’m having a problem with my versa 2 green light, it is not flashing anymore and not tracking my heart rate, I’ve tried everything, resetting my watch and going onto the heart rate settings on my tracker, nothing is working, is there anything else I can try?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Mimi123000. I'm  sorry to hear your Versa  2 is not flashing the green lights and not tracking your heart rate.

Please see our heart-rate tracking troubleshooting steps on: What factors can affect my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes.

Typical things to do are:

  • Is “Heart Rate” turned off in the watch settings? Make sure it is turned on.
  • Reboot watch (hold button until it goes dark and then to the Fitbit logo) (you already did this)
  • Make sure the watch has heart rate set to on (you already did this)
  • Make sure the app and watch are on the latest firmware (if not don’t upgrade yet)
  • Shutdown the watch and reboot (in settings->about->shutdown), then power on by holding the button - it would not hurt to reboot the phone at the same time

Don’t mess with the app yet as if there is no flashing green light on the watch the issue is there. Absolute worst case you can try a factory reset on the watch (just delete it from the app first) and then re-pair it.

Interested if you got your green light working again. I’m having the same problem, but nothing has worked and it won’t download update. Keeps going through the motions and then offers the update again

I haven't had a full week worth of heart rate readings since mid September. I get maybe one or two random days a week. Which means I also don't get sleep info.

I've tried all of the advice I've found throughout the forum posts, including a factory reset, and still nothing.

That’s mine too except I have had absolutely no heart rate or sleep data from September. Just waiting on it stopping completely so I can buy a new watch 👍

Thank you for your advise @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Fitbit Community, @LINDSTAIR@polliewog14. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have followed in order to get your Versa 2 green lights working again.

@LINDSTAIR, which update offer you get?

@polliewog14, did you try the factory reset from your watch or you followed the steps to do it manually?

I'll be waiting for your response.

There wasn’t a number on the update

Today I have tried the Factory reset and I think I have probably wrecked my Fitbit

All I have on watch screen is a red :cross_mark: says Data not cleared Sync and try again

I have been trying for hours 🤦🏻‍:female_sign:

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting us know about the message that your Versa 2 shows after following factory reset steps @LINDSTAIR.

Please note the message "Data not cleared, Sync & Try again" usually appears when you performed a factory reset without first unpairing your watch from your phone's Bluetooth settings.

With that being said, please confirm if you've followed the steps below to solve this issue:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Versa 2.

If you can't get started with your Versa 2, usually a missing requirement is the cause. Carefully review the requirements provided in the help article Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

I hope this information helps.

Definitely fearing the worst. Have unpaired, removed Fitbit app, turned phone off

still nothing except the red x and the same message. Is there any hope?

Hi, did all you suggested Thanks

I finally got my Fitbit to connect to phone again. It’s counting steps. Green light not flashing. Have noticed it’s not holding the charge as long, needing to charge every night now instead of 3 to 4 days. Still showing on App as update available but it won’t update. Have tried dozens of times

@AndreaFitbit I did the factory reset from the settings on the watch after first unpairing it from my phone.

I get very sporadic readings maybe once every 2 weeks. The last was from about 6am-8am Thanksgiving morning. Before that, I again had some random readings on Nov 14.

At this point I don't think that it's a software problem.

Hi,

I'm having the same issue, no green light, no red light. I did 10 resets, 10 times switching heart on/off with sync...still nothing.

How can I get my watch repair?
