Green screen on Versa 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Over the past week I've had a few instances where my versa 2 has a green, slightly flickering screen. It has resolved itself within around 10-20 minutes. Today it has had a green screen for around 7 hours but was working fine earlier. If I hold down the button to restart it then it vibrates but nothing changes. I obviously can't do a factory reset on the device because I can't use the screen.

It's on firmware version 35.70.7.21 I've had no notification for updating the firmware. I am using the latest version of the app on my samsung s7 phone.

Any suggestions to fix would be appreciated. I bought it off amazon when it first came out and up to now I've been happy with it.

I’m on my third Versa 2 in two years.  I had the first one a year and it went green.  I thought it was something I did, so I purchased a new one.  6 months later, it went green.  I contacted Fitbit and they replaced it.  It has been maybe 5months and this one is green.  Contacted Fitbit and they opened up a case for me.  I’m done!  I REFUSE to waste any more $$$ or time with Fitbit!!

Exactly. Waste of money. Also, if you don't rotate the clock face, it burns
the image into the screen.

That’s terrible , I’ve had a few Fitbit’s myself and this is the first time it’s happened to me and I must say the Fitbit support has been shocking to say the least they want me to send back to them and they will try and fix will be 3 + weeks !! This is after  over a week of contact, plus I can’t be without watch for 3 weeks +.
After reading everyone’s comments and Google reviews I won’t be upgrading to the sense will go a different route now whilst I await the outcome of this, which is unfortunate as prior to this I’ve always rated Fitbit , thanks for your reply

Fitbit did email me.  They are sending me a replacement.  This is FitBit Versa 2 number 4.  I’ll wear it, but if it goes “green screen”, I’m going to switch to Apple.

Update:

I let the battery total drain and left off charge for over a day. Got my screen back but functionality is still screwed up. Won’t let me go to screen with workouts and doesn’t record steps. Like I said- I will not buy another. Apple Watch is now going to replace it bc my daughter hasn’t had any issues with her Apple Watch

Nothing can be done to reboot the watch

I had two watches go to green screen.  One was still under warranty and was replaced.. I'll not buy another fitbit watch

I contacted Fitbit and told them that I was finished with the Versa and I was going with Apple.  They sent me another replacement anyway.  A month later my spouse bought me a Sense, so the Versa is sitting in some drawer.

I contacted Fitbit and they asked me to send back to them and they replaced .
I have since brought an Apple Watch as I’ve had too many issues with Fitbit’s not lasting now, so far no issues other Apple Watch

I bought my Versa 2 on EBay auction. It worked for two weeks then quit because of a green screen. My money got blown on it. How can I fix it?

I've had 2 fitbit versa with the green screen.  There's no way to fix it.  Both were under warranty and were replaced.  I would not recommend buying another fitbit watch.

Thank you. Sent it back to who I bought it from. Money is refunded. Won’t get another Fitbit.

Same here. I let it sit in the box a few times.  I thought I'd give it another go. In my case, I can see something on the green screen at times, it's faint but I see the logo and how much it's charged up. It appears to continue with a scrolling green screen. Then it looks like it's dead. Then I tap the front a few times and it kind of comes back on for a bit and then looks dead again. I am so bummed.
