Grey Screen, won't connect to app

Versa was fine yesterday, and by the time I went to bed, it was black.  No lights on the back.  Put it on the charger and it's getting really hot.  Won't connect to my app so I can shut it down.  When it's on the charger, the screen shows a dark grey.  It's only 4 months old.  HELP.  Can't change the clock face because it won't connect to anything.

I contact CS and they have determined it is in fact dead and sending me a replacement. Thanks!

Hi, when your Versa get really hot during charging, there is also reaaly something wrong. Contact asap Customer Support. What you could try is to restart your Versa with the two button method, e.g. restart your Versa 4-6 times in a row by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. Should this procedure brings your Versa back to life, nevertheless contact CS and ask for a battery test.
