HR and sleep not tracking since last update, battery draining fast

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
  • Since the latest software update on my Versa, neither the heartrate or the sleep is tracking. On top of that my battery now dies daily.  I have tried restarting tracker. Turning heartrate on and off. Every suggestion I can find and nothing is working.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Versa stopped tracking your heart rate and sleep since the last update and the battery is draining faster than expected. Thank you for your troubleshooting efforts. Since the heart rate can affect your sleep tracking, I would like to confirm if you've tried the complete troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device?

Please also review the troubleshooting steps to resolve sleep tracking issue in our help article help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2163/#ClassicSleep.

Regarding the issue with battery, please switch to a Fitbit clock face if you're using a third party clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device? For additional tips to prevent battery drain, please see this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Let me know if the issue persists, I'll be around.

Same here sleep not working.........Fitbit slow.......battery going faster than normal..

Why do the updates create these problems...  changing to Apple....Fitbit doesn't want to fix the problem.

Yes, I have tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. And I have a Fitbit
clock face. As far as I can tell, there really is no reason for this
product failure.

I'm not saying this will work for you, but I had the same problem and did the following.

Shutdown fitbit

Started it up

Disabled heart rate, turned it back on

Nothing still

Logged into fitbit.com and into my dashboard

clicked on heart rate and sleep tiles.

changed watch face (was already a fitbit watch face)

It started working ..

I dont know why. Its been down for three days and doing these things got it working again. I must have synced a fifty times in last three days without affect.

This seemed to correlate with the last fitbit app update ..

You know she said nothing about changing anything. I've been looking for an answer to this problem and the responses are all the same. Blaming the user when they didn't change anything and it suddenly stops working. Lazy copy and paste answers.

Hi Liliya, I've had my Charge 3 for over a year and have always enjoyed the sleep tracking features. The past week it's stopped working. I've tried the troubleshooting links for sleep tracker, heart rate monitoring, have cleaned it according to instructions and restarted it six times. It's on my non-dominant wrist (as always) and in the same place that it's always worked. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
