I returned my first FitBit a few weeks after buying it because it would frequently not show my HR while I was exercising accurately, for instance it would do these big drops from 120-130 down to 90 etc. I thought I just had a flawed Versa 2 so I bought another one. It seemed ok for a few days but did the update 2 days ago and when I was on the elliptical this morning it bounced between 90 and 130 or so. I took my pulse manually and it was at 126 during those times it was showing in the 90’s. This is very frustrating to me. I love so much about this FitBit but HR needs to be accurate. This effects calories burned and the zone minutes also. I am quite disappointed and will probably be returning this one also. I don’t know if its a SW or HW issue but I am tending to think it is a SW issue.
Here is the corresponding graph and you can see it dipped numerous times even though I was working out really hard.
I wore another smart watch at the same time for comparison and it looks accurate with this graph:
