Hi I just got my Versa 2 tonight. Im wondering if it's possible to set it to intermittent HR monitoring? I want to be able to "spot check" my HR without it reading it continuously - like, periodically throughout the day at rest amd when I'm exercising. It seems like my only options in settings are on or off. So would I have to go into settings and toggle it on every time I want to check my heart rate? And then toggle off when I'm done?

It is not designed for intermittent monitoring. However I believe it does automatically take readings more frequently during exercise. I suppose you could turn HR off and on when you choose, but I don't see the downside to just leaving it on. If your concern is battery life, it does last several days with HR on, but I have no idea how much of a difference HR makes on battery life.
One advantage to leaving it on is that calorie burn is calculated largely from heart rate, not just during exercise, but from variations throughout the day, such as from increased heart rate with normal routine walking when you don't consider it really a workout.
