I am new to fitbit have had mine for just 7 days. Have noticed that in the morning around coffee time my versa says my HR is higher than it should be within around 20 seconds it goes from 75 up to 125 approximately then in the very next beat down to normal. It only happens in the morning. I tried not having a coffee this morning instead had a green tea the same thing happened but it when up to 146 then 86 in the next beat. I don’t feel my heart beating anymore than usual. Has anyone else experience this, it can’t be correct but is making me quite worried. My resting HR is 71

Mine kept doing the same. Also while out on a walk it would go from about 90 to 130 in a few seconds and stick there. I've sent mine back, as it's a known problem and hasn't been fixed.

Thanks for that. I figured that was the case but am very happy to find someone else who has experienced the same issue. I will try to return mine, do you have any recommendations for what i could replace with? Was thinking about an Iwatch but don’t have any idea really.

Hi Samantha.
There's eighteen pages of grumblings about this problem if you have a look.
I briefly tried a Garmin Forerunner, but I found it so complicated and it was very difficult to operate the 4 buttons on the sides without making a fumble of it.
I've ended up with a Kungix Q8 (the square one not the round one) from Amazon and it does all I need. Steps, HR, calories and sleep plus some fancy features (timer etc) that I'll never use.
It has a nice colour TFT screen similar to the Versa and a single touch button with which you scroll through the pages. So far it is working fine and it's still going and showing 60 % charge after 3 days.
HR is different. You can tell it to do a HR check at any time, or left to its own devices it does one every half hour or so. It reads high every now and then when I'm walking, but it doesn't go beserk like the Fitbit. The App to download is called 'Da Fit'. Good luck.
