First, let me say that I’ve always been a big fan of Fitbit’s. I’m on my second now, but have owned a Fitbit for over 3 years. After my daughter lost her charge hr, she saved up and bought a versa. If I knew where the receipt was, I’d return it.
I cannot get it to sync. I’ve restarted it, deleted and redownloaded the app, have the newest version of the app and IOS, turned blue tooth on and off and every suggestion that I can find. It currently hasn’t synced since 11/11 and it’s 11/25 today. She’s had it for a few months now and it hasn’t never synced regularly. I’ve always had to jump through hoops to make it work, but now the hoops aren’t working! It always says connected under Bluetooth, it will start to sync, but then stop. I’ve just spent the last hour working with her Fitbit and her phone (and this is logged in under her account right now) to absolutely no avail. I’m beyond frustrated. Especially since I’ve never had a problem with my own Fitbits.
Is there some magical thing that I’m missing? Has anyone had major issues with syncing that were solved? Is the Vedra just a dud??

@GooseyGrace You mentioned Fitbit hasn't synced since Nov 11th, which means it hasn't connected. At this point, I would do a fresh install after restoring Versa to factory defaults. Before performing factory reset, you will need to remove the tracker from your account (delete it in the Fitbit mobile app) and from the paired devices on your iPhone. After factory reset, you will need to set up Versa as a new device. If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to contact Customer Support to guide you through the next steps.

@GooseyGrace Are you able to sync with other device? Nevertheless, I would attempt this:

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately after following your suggested steps the Fitbit will no longer connect at all with the app. I’ve been trying off and in for the last two hours.
I’d say she bought an expensive watch... except it won’t keep proper time since it won’t sync.

Thank you! Resetting it to factory settings worked.
In case anyone else with the same issues reads this, when I said it connected, but wouldn’t sync, if you forced a sync, it would always start to sync, but wouldn’t finish it. So it would even show that days steps, but only that days, and the next day it would show she had 0 steps. She would also still receive her call and text notifications. But the time would slowly be off and it wouldn’t successfully sync all the way. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app and reset her device, and unpaired and repaired the device to phone. I also tried to pair it to a brand new iPad and it would start the set up, but wouldn’t finish it.
But the facyiry reset reset was successful. I hope it sticks!
