Having a lot of trouble (as in can't connect) - Transferring music to Versa from Win 10 laptop?

I am about at my wits end. Simply trying to connect and store some music on my versa. Connected via the desktop app on my Win 10 laptop. turned off all firewalls. Same WI-FI which is marked private. I am unsure if bluetooth should be on or off on the laptop??? It needs to be on to sync to versa in the app right? but the troubleshooting says turn it off. so confusing.

Anyway it just never finds the watch. On the watch side after hitting "transfer music" and connecting for a few seconds it says "use your computer to start transferring" and an end now button. On app side it says unable to find after several minutes. I see a section where it you can try to put a manual IP of the watch, but have not figured out how I tell the watches IP. This is bad. Any suggestions?

This is getting more annoying. I was able to determine the IP address of phone by going to "settings>about"  I noticed it said "WI-FI off". OK............ I guess if I turn off bluetooth (as the troubleshooting tells you to) on the desktop and the mobile app it turns WI-FI off on the watch????? How does this work? If the phone is out of range of the watch does my WI-FI go off? So confused.

No matter either, manually entering the IP into the desktop app does nothing. Still can't transfer a single song to this thing. Already starting to wonder if I want something different. Totally ridiculous you can't transfer songs right from your phone BTW. They're on same WI-FI and bluetooth and you have to use a desktop app that doesn't work.

Hoping someone can help.

actually now I notice the wifi just shuts off on the watch by itself. Doesn't matter if I do anything with the bluetooth or app. This thing is a paperweight
