My Fitbit watch upgraded to the new Premium features an hour or two after midday yesterday. In the morning beforehand, during my normal morning workout to two online videos, I burned 666 calories in 1hr 6 min at an average heart rate of 144. That is within my normal range of burning 630-700 calories. But after the upgrade to Premium, during my evening online video workout, using the same videos, but doing some extra because I noticed the change in my heart rate, I burned only 538 calories in 1hr 25 min at an average heart rate of only 112. My heart rate was consistently at a below active zone level for large sections of that period! So upset was I at this change that I then did another 10 minutes running on the treadmill to burn the calories that I needed to maintain my average, not only for Fitbit, but also MyFitnessPal.
