Heart Rate is wack a doodle

Hello.

I do not wear my Versa to bed very often, and as many other people have noted, it registered high heart rates throughout the night when I was not wearing it.  I tried storing it upside down, on its side, right side up, same result.  I did the sync thing as instructed by FitBit, still didn't help.

The only thing I have found is to shut Heart Rate monitoring off every night when I take it off.

Now a new thing happened.  One night while I had the Heart Rate SHUT OFF and sitting on my table in the bathroom, it told me I slept for 1 hour and 8 minutes.  It didn't show heart rates for that hour +, but it said I slept.  My sleep quality was 0 awake, 0 restless and 0 awake.  HA

I don't need a script answer from FitBit as to how to sync my watch or any of that nonsense.  I just want you to be aware that your watch is not working properly.

When I first got it, I was very happy but now not so much.

Hi, heart rate and sleep monitoring are needed for a correct sleep logging, What I always do since a short time, when my HR acts weird, is just take it off my wrist and leave it on my desk for 15 minutes. After that time the HR is normal again. So, I stopped restarting it multiple times to get an accurate reading. This also works, at least in my case.

@SunsetRunner It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Versa is not tracking your heart rate accurately. I would like to help you and turn the bad experience you've had into a good experience.

If you haven't done so, please restart your Versa as described in this help article. This will refresh your tracker internally.

In case the restart doesn't fix the issue, please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open  the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. After this, monitor your heart rate and see if the issue gets corrected.

Thank you so much for your help my friend @SunsetRunner!

I'll be around if more questions arise! 😀

LOL

I wonder how many times you cut and paste that answer to “fix” peoples problems.

Thanks for nothing. Again.

I've had that issue with the HR light showing false readings before. I also tried placing it down in different orientations with no luck. What did work was to put it in a drawer. Apparently, light reflections onto the sensor would cause the HR to start. And putting in darkness seemed to fix that. Might be worth a short.
