Heart rate and calories burned

Hello, I'm new to fitbit or smart watches in general. I have a versa 2 (wear it on my dominant arm) I am currently on medication that jacks up my heart rate all the time, I've tried changing the ranges in the app settings but based on my heart rate I'm still burning 3,000 or more calories a day because my heart rate is constantly in the "fat burn zone". Also I've noticed the step counter sensor is super sensitive to me just moving my arm around for normal use of my hands. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi @OrderlyMess  a warm welcome to the Community!  I apologize for the delayed response. Thank you for the information provided.

Could you confirm if you followed these instruction  to change your heart rate zones:

Instead of using the 3 zones based on your maximum heart rate, you can create a custom zone to target a specific heart rate:

On the Fitbit app.

  1. Tap the Today tab

and tap your profile picture > Heart Rate Zones.
  2. Enter your custom zone.

On fitbit.com, log into your dashboard and click the gear icon in the top right. Click Settings > Personal Info and enter your custom zone.

I'll be expecting your reply!
