Heart rate and floors readings not accurate

I’ve had my versa for about a year. It was pretty consistently accurate up until a month or so ago. While exercising the heart rate is completely off—sometimes being 40 or even 50 bpm too low! About the same time it stared wildly overestimating floors climbed! I went upstairs once this morning and it logged 10!  super frustrated because all my data is basically worthless. I’ve tried restarting, moving it around on my wrist, cleaning sensors...nothing has made a difference.

I regret to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not recording your heart rate nor your floors accurately. Thank you for the troubleshooting steps you performed before contacting us. I would recommend turning the heart rate off and back on. You can go to your watch Settings > Heart rate.

Your Versa is designed to detect pressure changes based on elevation gain, but other types of pressure changes—such as a gust of wind, a weather change, or opening a door—can occasionally cause your device to register extra floors. For more information about how accurate is your Versa, please visit this article.

If you would like to negate the extra floors, you can follow these steps.

If you have any question, please don't hesitate to contact us back at any time.

I’ve tried turning it off and on as well. Still same problems.  I’ve read about weather/drafts etc affecting floors counting, but I don’t think that is the issue. it was consistently accurate for about a year. I’ve made no changes and it is no longer accurately measuring things. It seems to me more like some component, maybe a sensor l, is not functioning properly anymore. The data is junk right now—very frustrating.
