hi,
my Fitbit is not tracking my heart rate while i am working out. When i am out of breath and when my heart rate is normally around 150-160 my fitbit says my heart rate is below zone around 90-120. It also fluctuates a lot during my trainings from 120 to 140 and back.
i already did a reset, cleaned my fitbit and tried to put the wristband tighter/higher.
i don’t know what else to do.

So, my overarching POV is - fitbit will absolutely be unhelpful on this issue.
My Wife and I are fairly avid athletes and the heart rate monitoring on the Versa 2 is perhaps the worst either of us have had after years of heart rate monitors. We're legitimately struggling to catch our breath and when we use other monitors to confirm (finger with SPo2, chest strap) can see we're 120's-140's (depending) and both our useless Versa 2s are chugging away at 78 or 82 or the like.
I've gone to them in the past with reading issues and faced long arguments with them trying to prove to us/gaslight us that we're out of our minds and 78 is a normal rating 30 minutes into heavy cardio, and we're the issue.
So I wish you luck, but I view my Versa 2 as a novelty watch that might as well squirt water and when I'm confident there's a better option on the market (Garmin?) I'm going to be done with it.
