Heart rate inaccurate

Often when I'm working out and my fitbit is in workout mode, and I can feel my heart racing and the machine I'm on is saying my HR is over 170, my versa 2 tells me my HR is under 120BPM, unless I hold my arm in a very specific and uncomfortable way, where it briefly reads correctly. I don't understand how it's giving me a random number (instead of just going blank when it can't read my HR). Yes, I've adjusted the fit, where it sits on my arm, swapped arms, cleaned the back, all of the usual suggestions. I was thinking about getting a Sense for my next smart watch but now I'm thinking I'll have to go for a different brand altogether that can actually accurately track my workouts. I feel kinda ripped off that the one thing I bought it for, it can only do sporadically.

Seems like this is a common issue. Possibly due to a recent update, if it was working before.

In which case its probably best to inform Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

The Sense currently will not read an accurate heart rate unless you are completely still.

Everyone is hoping that Fitbit will fix this issue soon but seem to have made it worse on some older watches as you are noticing.

I am have heart rate problems in my Verso as well. Unfortunately this started after I completed the firmware update!! Contacted support today and they had me do a hard reset. My heart rate is still not registering correctly. WAY too high. Support gave me a bunch of BS why it might be higher. My HR is NOT 150 when I’m sitting!! I’m hoping they fix this ASAP!!! SO FRUSTRATING!!! I’m about ready to ditch Fitbit for good...
