Heart rate is not accurate while running

Hi everyone,

I have been using Versa for nearly 4 months. The issue I have with it is heart rate reads during runs. I am running with intro to intervals workout in Fitbit Coach app. 2 mins jogging, 1 min running and the cycle continues till 10 runs. Normally, my heart rate should fluctuate, higher while running and lower while joging. However, it stick to a lower value and remains there even though I run. My heart rate is quite higher (20-40BPM higher) than the one on the secreen. I know that because sometimes it reads right in the same condition as that much higher and also I am feeling that heart rate. However. Versa cannot catch it.

I am using non-dominant wrist and even shaved some of the body hairs on my arm to improve reading but it is the same. It reads comletely fine for some funs, rarely, but terrible for most of the time. I tried as thight, in upper and lower positions but no clear way to see HR. It does not work properly for most of the running workouts. I also made a factory reset, removed Versa from my tracker list and readded it but still the same.

Is there and chest based HR monitors that can sync with Fitbit app to improve reading?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

I wonder if it's locking onto your pace like the ionics do?

Actually, I don't know what is locking onto your pace with Ionics. What my Versa does is it does not see inclines in my heart rate. There is still some change but really small. The point I don't understand is why it works sometimes.
