Heart rate monitor accuracy

I have been using my versa for a couple of months now so I'm reasonably used to it.

I have a heart problem in that I had a mild heart attack 6 months ago, so have heightened awareness of heart rate. I have found that when doing relatively gentle exercise - such as a walk or local bike ride - the versa tells me that early in the exercise - usually within the first 10 minutes - I experience v high heart rate readings - around 170 - 180. Later in the exercise this settles down to 100 - 120. I experience no other symptoms, such as shortness of breath, sweating, beating heart, etc.

Is this an issue with my watch or should I go back to the Doc's??

Hi, before going to the Doc, try this: restart your Versa 4-6 times in a row by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill you see the Fitbit logo and release the buttons. The HR can act weird sometimes and usually this solves this kind of problems. Another suggestion: keep the sensors on the back of your watch clean as dirt also leads to this kind of erratic readings.
