Heart rate monitor glitch during exercise?

I noticed on my run today that there was a sudden and very sharp drop of my heart rate recorded by my fitbit (from about 160 to sub-120 pretty much instantly) which looks quite abnormal to me. This isn't the first time that I've noticed a large drop like this during exercise, but it is definitely the most stark I've seen. I'm not a medical expert but I think if this was genuine I would have definitely noticed. Image is here.

This doesn't happen in every run, but whenever it does it usually happens around the same place. Does sweat affect accuracy?

It’s actually happening to tons of people. Fitbit customer support will give you robotic answers that your not wearing the watch correctly and temperature affects heart rate. I no longer have correct data during exercise I might as well have threw my money out the window while driving. My Fitbit is still under warranty and I paid for the 2 year coverage plan. This won’t be fixed until they release a new firmware update because the latest one is what’s causing it.
