i saw similar posts on here regarding the Fitbit Versa 2 and the device’s heart rate monitor, regarding the fact that when users work out and use the Fitbit that the heart rate displayed is way too low to be accurate.

 

On my device, without doing any strenuous activities, my heart rate will fluctuate between 70 and up to 110 bpm. Is there a reason the device reading would have that big of a range? The device settings tells me my resting heart rate is in the 70s, so I’m curious as to how walking around for 30 seconds would cause the reading to jump up like that.

@CDR1377 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your heart rate reading. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

I'm now on my third versa in a year. The first one died in three months, the second in six and now my third is completely inaccurate as well. All of them suffered the same heart rate issues, I would glance at my wrist mid work out and see that it wasnt even reading my heart rate or reading too low. Some days it will read 154bmp between sets, others 100bpm.

 

I have tried everything to get it to read, cleaned the strap, cleaned the sensor as instructed with rubbing alcohol, made sure my wrists were clean and dry, soft reset, hard reset. Nothing works and nothing fixes the issue.

 

It's been a complete waste of money, all I can say is props to Amazon's customer service for swapping the last two without issue.
