Heart rate monitor suddenly not working correctly

I’ve had my Versa for a couple of months and it was working fine until I woke up Saturday morning with close to 200 active minutes it has given me while I was asleep. Since then, the heart rate monitor has been wildly inaccurate. It says my heart rate is in cardio or fat burn zone all of the time. When it said it was around 140, I tested it another way and it was around 70. As a result, on Saturday, it gave me close to 500 active minutes. It did the same thing yesterday.

I tried restarting the watch, turning off the heart rate monitor for awhile, cleaning the back of the watch, but I just turned the monitor back on and it’s still not working correctly. I’m sitting down with a normal heart rate and it kept climbing after I turned it back on.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get it to work properly again?

Fitbit ended up sending me a new device because of the battery issue.

Also noticed today the battery is draining very fast. I charged it overnight Saturday night and woke up this morning and it was dead. I charged it to 100% at 8 a.m and it’s now down to 70% already 4 hours later whereas it used to still be in the 90s when I went to bed the night after a full charge.

I turned off all-day sync and changed back to a Fitbit, non-third party clock face so I will see how that goes.

Same issues. My Versa hasn't tracked by HR since 10/6. This morning it was stuck on 107 bpm, even when I took it off. Now it has stopped tracking again. My battery is draining fast.

It’s very frustrating. I contacted support and they had to escalate my concern to someone higher up who is supposed to email me but hasn’t yet.

As for the battery issue, they told me to charge to 100%, sync 5-6 times per day,  wear the device until it drains completely and let them know how long it stayed charged. Since it was fully charged this morning and is already down to 20%, I assume it will die during the night.

This has happened to 2 of my Versa's so far. The factory reset does not work to resolve the issue. Fitbit is sending me a replacement Versa. When the HR monitor stops working, it will no longer track your sleep either.

I have exchanged my son's versa 3 times at target and every time straight out of the box the HR is wildly inaccurate! Running in the fat burn zone nonstop. I contacted fitbit they actually denied me a new versa. Saying they are working on firmware but they don't know when it will be released. Unacceptable! How dare they knowingly sell defective products! The defective watches should be pulled off the shelves!!! I might have to contact better business Bureau...

Im now experiencing this issue with my Versa. The heart rate monitor no longer works. What should I do?

unless it's still under warranty, throw it in the trash because you basically have nothing but a 200 pedometer.  Because it will no longer track your sleep either.
