Heart rate spikes don’t match resting heart rate

I have a versa 3. Almost daily, when I go into my active minutes I see a spike that is early morning in my sleep where my heart rate appears to jump from the 50s to 150s and then back down.

when I go to my resting heart rate graph, it doesn’t match at all. It shows me staying in the 40s/50s the entire time.

im trying to insert pics but it won’t let me. The first pic is my resting heart rate- you can see around 1am I was steady in the 50s. In the second pic, which is active minutes, you see the spike at that same time that shows 150s.

what is going on?

HI @junebug0710 - resting heart rate is an average and won't be affected by an occasional spike.

The spikes are odd but can be the result of a certain type of movement possibly.

To remove any possible glitches, try a sync and then do a Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds [to allow it to complete] before placing it on charge to restart it and charge it. If it's already charged just push the button for a second and wait.

Also clean the watch can be a good idea, see How do I clean my Fitbit device?
