Heart rate tracker stops when I swim

Hi, I'm looking for advice on how to get my versa to track my heart rate when I'm swimming.

It works perfectly the rest of the time but stops recording data when I get in the water.

It tracks my length of swim etc just fine it's just the heart rate

Is there anything I can do to make it pick up my heart rate?

Thanks

Lucy

The device turns off the heart rate monitor by design when you select the swim workout shortcut. This is because any water getting between the device and your wrist will interfere with the accuracy of the reading.

There are a couple of options you can use as a work around, but the accuracy might be effected.

You can just let the Versa auto track your swim, obviously you won't have access to the live workout data on your screen during your swim.

Another option is to select the standard workout exercise shortcut, and then edit it in the fitbit app to change it to swimming. Both options should provide HR data then.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I thought it could be part of the swim mode but I've never had a fitbit before and the staff in John Lewis didn't seem to know a lot about the swimming features.

I'll give your suggestions a go.

Thanks and have a good afternoon
