When will the problem with the heart rate zones be fixed? It’s so frustrating seeing it calculate my heart rate and calories burnt incorrectly

What "problem with heart rate zones"?

I wonder if you mean that the zones have changed somewhat to a more accurate method, taking into account resting heart rate, as explained her:

What are heart-rate zones?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

since updating my Fitbit yesterday, it’s changed my heart rate zones, which are completely different to what they were before. When I’m exercising, it says most of the time I’m not in any heart rate zone (fat burn or cardio) even though I was before. And it doesn’t allow me to change my custom heart rate, unless I log into Fitbit on a desktop. So it says my custom heart rate and maximum heart rate is 0

Keeping in mind that I haven't received notification that I am in the queue for a firmware update yet...

FitBit has jammed a new heart rate zone formula down its users throats without giving us the opportunity to retain the traditional method.

The Heart Rate Reserve formula is apparently active for Charge 4, Ionic and Versa "family" of devices. Other heart rate enabled devices have retained the traditional formula.

In addition to the new heart rate formula, FitBit has now tied active minutes to the new heart rate zones, calling them Active Zone Minutes (AZM).

What does the redefinition of "active" mean to FitBit users? Well, for me, with an oxygen extraction capability that is just a bit "scary" according to my cardiac surgeon and with me taking ACE Inhibitors and Beta Blockers, I can walk for one hour on the treadmill at three mph and allegedly never hit Fat Burn. As such, I will receive no credit for being active. Tell that to my legs after taking over 5,900 steps during that hour.

I had the same problem earlier on the treadmill. Walked for 15 mins at at nearly 4 mph and got nothing to show for it within my “active minutes” even though my heart rate was elevated to my previous “fat burn zone”. Also trained legs for nearly 90 minutes, only burned 200 calories where as of normally burn approx 600. And only had 26 active minutes. It’s so frustrating!
