Heartrate is much lower during exercise since update

I have owned a Versa 2 for over a year. I exercise frequently and haven't experienced any issues until an update was done in late December of 2020. Since then during intense exercise my fitbit often registers a much lower heartrate than that which my heart is clearly at. During high intensity weight lifting and cardio, sometimes the watch is registering only 60-70 bpm, while my heart is pumping hard in my chest. I've tried adjusting the strap placement and tightness and I've rebooted both the versa and the app. I have to wonder if this is an issue from the update, as that is when this issue began.

I seem to have this issue as well. On the treadmill I now barely get into cardio mode or sometimes even into fat burning mode as per my versa yet I can measure it manually and it’s well into my cardio levels so it’s messing up my zone minutes and also into my Weight watchers app. I have reset several times, resyncing my device and nothing seems to work. It’s so annoying.
