Help please! Versa 2 suddenly lost Bluetooth connection to iPhone and Fitbit app can’t find it

HI all,

I got my Versa 2 a few months ago and it paired with my iPhone with no problem. I was then able to set it up in my Fitbit app with no difficulty.

Yesterday I noticed it wouldn’t sync to the app - the app said it found no device. I restarted the Versa 2 and the iPhone and it was then able to sync.

Today the same thing happened, but this time I couldn’t make it sync. In Bluetooth on the iPhone I found that it was listing the Versa 2 but it couldn’t connect. I’ve tried everything I’ve been able to find on the internet, all the way from restarting everything to removing the Versa 2 in Bluetooth (couldn’t add it back, as it still wasn’t seen) to factory resetting the Versa 2. Now I seem to be completely stuck because the Versa 2 is telling me to download the Fitbit app, but the phone still can’t see the Versa 2 in Bluetooth and the app still can’t find it so that I can set it up as a device.

When I came here I saw the post about there being a firmware update for the Versa 2 but I can’t see a way to do that as it seems to rely upon turning on all day sync in the app, to download the firmware, but I can’t do that because it seems to be done via the device in the app, which I can’t set up.

Can anybody please help? I’ve been Googling for a couple of hours but I don’t seem to have got anywhere. The Versa is at almost 100% charge, and I’ve tried with it both in and out of the charger. The iPhone is running latest software.

Hi there and many thanks.

I had tried most of that, but for some reason I’d forgotten that I also have the app on my iPad. When I looked there the device was listed in Bluetooth and so I was able to get it going (after my factory reset). It dropped the Bluetooth connection on the iPad too, but I followed the instruction to forget the device and was then able to get a pairing request in the app, which worked. After that I was able to follow a similar process on my iPhone and so it’s working again, and running the new firmware.

I’m grateful for your help 🙂
