High heart rate

For over a week now my Fitbit versa shows extremely high heart rate even at rest and sleeping. Because of it, it can’t read my sleep cycle right anymore. I have done every possible reset there is, even a factory reset. Yesterday I connected my charge 3 just to see and it works fine. I rather use the versa. I have chatted with the help desk and called yesterday and all I got is we are working on the problem at the end. No estimated time or date when it’s fixed. This morning I reinstalled my versa audit had a long update and I thought this must be the fix. Wrong! Anyone else having this issue? Getting really frustrated.

Same here!! Just this past night it said my heart rate was in the 180s, once as high as 202, for a solid 30min. I was literally sitting on my computer at 1am during that time. So now today at 2pm it says I already burned 1800 calories because it thinks I was doing some crazy extreme exercise at 1am this morning.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Janmk. It's nice to see you around @Tinabc023 and @Mali101

@Janmk I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your experience with tracking your heart rate and sleep. Thank you for your efforts to resolve this and for providing a screenshot. Our team is working to identify a resolution for the heart rate issue as quickly as possible. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

@Janmk regarding the sleep issue, are you using the "begin sleep now" function on your app to track your sleep? Using this will prevent you from seeing Sleep Stages. Do you receive a message explaining why you didn't receive Sleep Stages? You need to tap the actual sleep log to see this message. For more information, please see this help article: What should I know about sleep stages?

@Tinabc023 thank you for your input. I understand that this can be very frustrating, I appreciate your patience while we're working on the fix.

@Mali101 thank you for sharing the details of the issue with the heart rate accuracy you're experiencing. Have you tried to restart your device to see if the issue persists?

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

The sleep function does not work because the heart sensor (heart read) is not good !.

Yes, I've tried restarting. And this just in, it also incorrectly records my heart rate during exercise. I just did the same exact workout I've been doing for a while now, and on my Blaze it would always say my heart rate was in the 170s-180s. Today with the Versa it said it was in the 120s the entire time, and said I burned half the amount calories I usually do. I was literally out of breath and could hear my fast heart rate through my earbuds, it was well over 120. Very discouraging that I now don't even get credit for my workouts, in addition to it insisting my heart rate is 200 while I'm sleeping.

I am experiencing the same problems with my fitbit Versa.  Can I please be included in any updates?

I have the same problem - when I did my yoga routine today, it said that my HR is 144 at the time when I was just stretching my neck. That's insane. Please can you tell us when you will issue the update?

Thanks

P.S.: I have carefully read some of the earlier tips, and tried them, but with no luck. Screenshot_20190528-214637.png

I have been having this problem all day today with my Versa saying my heart rate is super high when im just sitting down at work and clearly i check my pulse and its within range. I have taken my watch off and reset it several times, went into settings and turned the HR tracker off then reset again then went back and turned it back on. After 3 hours, i checked my HR and again it was super high but its inaccurate. I have been wearing it on my same wrist, with the same tightness and the same bands. I have wiped down my sensor with rubbing alcohol to make sure it was clean. the thing just keeps going nuts!

This feels like "unfortunate but unfortunately" a few questions here: - Can't you put the latest version software back? it has always worked well !!. - What have you changed? - Or is Versa broken? - Is this within the Guarantee Versa is now 9 months old !! Please respond as soon as possible!!

Unfortunately, I just passed the one year warranty mark.  Does this mean I should purchase a new one if I want correct heart rate readings?  I'm sad that is only lasted a year, I might need to look into other options.

This is taking way to long to be resolved. All we are getting is „ We are working on a resolution to the problem“. This is more then one problem now. Heart rate way of the chart, sleep tracker not working correctly cause of heart rate not reading properly, I haven’t got any text or call notifications since this issue either even with notifications turned on. Sometimes it reads many flights of stairs , which I have none, no hills in my area. The other day it read 21 flights, really? Something needs to be done soon about this problem. Please all you people keep complaining directly to Fitbit, call them, bug the crap out of them. These answers they are giving us are unacceptable. All the restarts and resets aren’t working. I’ve done them all more then once.

I contacted their customer service and here is what they answered.   I've had the same issue since I bought my Versa....

Rasha:We just currently have an ongoing issue on some of our smartwatches.
Fitbit trackers such as Charge 3, Inspire HR and Alta HR don't experience this ongoing issue. However, some of the Versa and Ionic which are our smartwatches, currently experience this one.

I am also having the same heart rate issue. Also, my battery is dying extremely quickly. Is anyone else having this problem with the battery.  I could only wish to burn this many calories in a day!

Yes, I had the battery issue (versa die after 10 hours).  They replaced it when they confirmed the defective battery.  But the heart rate issue remains.

I have a new Versa that my husband bought me to track my heart rate.   I am on several blood pressure meds that keep my heart rate very low and we wanted to keep an eye on it to be sure it doesn't drop too far.    It normally runs in the 48 - 55 range.    Well, since wearing my brand new Versa, it will randomly (in just minutes) go from the 50s to the 100s and a minute or so later, back to the 50s all while just sitting in a chair reading a book.   This is very frustrating.   It really frightened me at first so I tracked it with my bp/heart rate machine and it is fine.  The Versa is just giving me totally erroneous numbers.   VERY frustrating since that's the main reason I went for this watch.
