It’s so frustrating that horse riding is not an exercise option can this be resolved one of the main reasons I bought the fit bit was to track accurately calorie burn etc while riding

May I suggest the following?

Climb up on your mount and start a "Workout" exercise on your Versa 2. Heart rate, calorie burn, etc, will be tracked in the manner I believe you want. Be aware that you may get some "phantom steps" during your ride - I'm sure you are aware of the possibilities.

Once you have ended the exercise and sync'd your device, open the exercise record up in your mobile app and recategorize the exercise as "Horseback Riding".

Tap "Categorize Exercise":

Since it will be the first time, "Horseback riding" will not be in your "RECENT" list so you will have to search for "Horse":

Luckily, I have an iOS device so I can change my "Horseback riding" back to "Treadmill". If you have an Android device, it is my understanding that you only get one change - at least that is what another user stated.

Interesting that there is a horseback riding question today. I was helping my nearly four year old Grandson with tying a lariat yesterday and was talking about being raised on a farm and riding my 17 1/2 hands tall Thoroughbred named "Glider". But that was 500 miles and 50 years ago, even though I sometimes really do remember it like it was yesterday.

I hope this helps and a hearty welcome to the boards.

I thought in horseback riding that the horse got most of the exercise.  Sorry, it was just to good to pass up.  Like was said, set it to workout and it will track the workout that you actually get.

Quiet the opposite actually and as previously said workout mode does not accurately track calories and puts horses steps as your own which is quite annoying as an immense amount of calories is burned while riding in comparison to walking
