After charging versa 2 was hot and wouldn't turn on
Fitbit is around 14 months old, still within warranty period
What can be done?

Hi @Halibloke - it may be suffering from water damage [you can check for condensation in the back windows with a magnifying glass].
Do not attempt to charge it further, it could explode.
Take it back to the place you got it for replacement under warranty.

Thanks Guy. Definitely no water present.
Place of purchase won't accept returns.
Fitbit paperwork included says to access forum for warranty claims.
Am I overlooking something?
Is there somewhere I can send it?
Thanks in anticipation

I'm having that exact issue. Just purchased in Nov. Except the face of my watch popped off due to how hot it got while charging. The place where I purchased it will not replace it or warranty it??

Hi @LOVEMYKIDS822 - Fitbit might honor the warranty if it was from an approved retailer [who should honor the warranty as it's 12 months or 2 years depending on country law].
It probably got hot due to water getting inside causing internal damage.

So I'm guessing my watch isn't water proof? I believe I read that it's waterproof up to so many feet is that not true?

@LOVEMYKIDS822 - they are supposed to be waterproof but the seals are very unreliable and given the face popped off, that is a sure sign it wasn't making a good deal so could easily have let water in.
