How can I stop the GPS running on my Versa 2?

I am assuming you (1) don't mean GPS is running all the time but only during certain workouts.',

(2) you mean "connected GPS" with Versa using phone's GPS, since Versa2 does not have GPS on its own.

After you select the workout type on wrist, tap the gear icon near top right and turn 'Connected GPS' off.

 

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Can vary slightly but a circle with hole in middle with extension sticking out on sides.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
