Does anyone know how I can reply to text messages on my new versa? Or is that not an option?

Well, npt sure if you have read any of my other posts on what i did to get it to work but you can try some things. 
Try turning on developer mode for Android OS. This gives tou more options to play with.
Then be sure to install the Fitbit app with all permissions. Then go into the phone app and enable everything. Same with text messenger app. Allkw push notifications etc.
Then be sure the watch has all bluetooth permissions. You may ha e to unpair and repair it after the kther changes. 
Make sure the Fitbit app has pwrmission to push notifications. 
There may be some options in develeoper mode you can turn on as well all though i dont recall any specific. Hope this helps.

Apple has a lot more restrictions on its apps and they want you to buy their Apple watch instead. So i suspect its no accident some features wont work on their competitions smart watch.
I havent tried on an iphone yet but i have an iphone 7 for work. J may try it tomorrow and see if i can get it to work. If so, ill post how.

Yes, if u go to menu, tap on Versa, scroll down to notifications, tap app notifications,

than tap hangouts, works for me

I’ve done all of this on my iPhone 8 Plus and it’s still not working worked just fine on my 6s plus....

This was the case with an employee at my work. My guess is the newer phone with newer update has more restrictions. I set all the settings but they had to connect the Fitbit to their charging station at home in order for it to reboot and then it worked... For a day, then stopped again. 
I wouldn't count on it working with Apple iPhone. They have their own smart watch to sell so i wouldn't count on them fixing a competitors product.
