In order to add your Heart Rate in the Fitbit app, follow the steps below:

  1. Tap the Discover tab > Health & Fitness Stats
  2. Tap Heart Rate > Add to Today

If the tile is already added, but it's hidden, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap Edit at the bottom.
  2. To hide tiles, tap the x or -  icon in the top left of the tile you want to hide.
  3. To show hidden tiles, tap the + icon in the top left of the tile you want to show.
  4. To rearrange tiles, hold and drag the tile to a new location.
  5. Tap Done.

Let me know if there's anything else I may do to help you.

Doesn't work for me. I've had constant problems since upgrading to the charge 3 I wish I had gone to Garmin now. I have had to remove the app several times as it was refusing to sync. I have just done a reboot on the fit bit and it is now finally syncing with the app however I have now list sleep, heart rate, steps per hour. I have tried to follow the instructions above but when I click open nothing happy. I have closed the app and rebooted my phone, nothing. Feel like smashing the thing, it's been such a waste of money 😞

Hi there @cosypie, thanks for stopping by. I totally understand where you're coming from. I appreciate you've taken the time to troubleshoot this inconvenience prior to posting here.

Since you've just upgraded to the Charge 3, I wondered if you've made sure that your Fitbit is linked to your account? To check this, please tap the Today tab > your profile picture > your device image (check when was the last time it synced or if there's no Charge 3 paired after tapping your profile picture). If so, that's the reason why you cannot see your tiles and data. Try setting up your new Fitbit by following these steps:

  1. Tap the Today tab and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Then, make sure that all your tiles are showing in the Today tab. You can add them as follows:

  1. On the Today tab tap Edit.
  2. To add a stat tile, swipe down and find the stat you want to add > tap Add.
  3. Tap Done.

Hi there @Thabeta, welcome on board. To better assist you, would you mind giving me more details of your situation? If you're experiencing exactly @cosypie has described, please follow my suggestions above.

If your issue is different from her's, let me know what it's so I can address it accordingly.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

Hello MarreFitbit - I have had my FitBit Charge 3, version 20001.63.5 for over a year. I have always, during walks or workouts been able to see an instant interactive heart rate on my iPhone XS Max FitBit app. Recently it only shows my resting heart rate. I have tried every suggested solution of yours and others that I can find. I got it back once by logging out and doing a reboot on the FitBit Charge 3 itself, but it reverted to “resting heart rate” only the next day. I’d appreciate any other ideas you have. Thanks in advance. eMike DuBois. (emike.dubois@gmail.com

I have the same problem. The Fitbit app shows only resting heartbeat. I have to turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on again to see live heartbeat. Started with latest update. I hate this. Wish I had gone with the Apple Watch

If you still answer questions I have a Fitbit blaze that I haven’t worn in a long time it still works fine but whenever I go to add the heart rate on the app it says the device needs a heart rate monitor. Which my watch does have any help with that?

Same here. I have done everything you have and feel exactly like you. I upgraded my phone. So frustrated as the heart and sleep tile is the only reason I bought a Fitbit in the first place. To monitor my daughters heart and sleep rate.

real waste of money now as is useless for me without those tiles. Working fine before.
