@A-hames1 Fitbit never explains why it doesn't give you a distance in the exercise details with automatically tracked exercises. But I have a theory. Fitbit calls automatic tracking SmartTrack. Well, sometimes SmartTrack isn't so smart and it gets the activity wrong. You can change this after the fact. Since you can't use GPS, any distance is a steps x stride length. Walking stride length is different from running stride length, cycling and swimming don't add to daily distance, and so on. The amount of code that it would take to fix every corrections is mind boggling. That's why I think there is no distance in the exercise details. Rest assured, if you are doing a step based activity, then that distance will go to your daily total.
