Please try this, @Mirandavanrijn - once you change the number, tap elsewhere on the screen and make sure the new goal shows up with the comma. Then, exit by tapping the arrow at the top, left of the screen. That should set your new number. Let me know how it goes.

Hi @Mirandavanrijn - To change your step goal, open the Fitbit app on your phone. Tap Account - Activity & Wellness - Daily Activity. From there you can edit your steps, distance and calories burned.

Hi there, @Mirandavanrijn. Welcome to the Community Forums.

To change your step goal, please follow @SunsetRunner's directions or see How do I change my main goal on my Fitbit device?

Hope that helps.

I have the same problem when I change the Miles, calories,  but not when I change the active hours.

@Mirandavanrijn - I’m sorry my instructions do not seem to be working for you. Did you look at the Help Page link that @MarreFitbit posted in her reply?

The same thing is happening to me in my versa 3. I can’t save changes. The page appears light.

Thanks. I managed to change my goal from 15,500 to 19,800 steps per day. From 7 to 9 miles.

I am having the same problem! I change it to a higher number and it momentarily saves it but by the time I go back to my dashboard it has gone back to 5000!!

@belle_fille and @Mirandavanrijn - Please try the tip I provided earlier and let me know if it helps.

once you change the number,

  • tap elsewhere on the screen and make sure the new goal shows up with the comma.
  • Then, exit by tapping the arrow at the top, left of the screen. That should set your new number.

I found this on another post

Is one of your goals set to zero? Mine was doing that when I had my floor goal set to zero. I changed it back to 1 floor in the app and it was fixed.

I have a Versa 2 and I tried this on the app on my phone and it changed my step goal.  I hope this works for you.

You are a mental health life saver.  I have tried for a year to resolve resetting my step goal.  Sure enough I had the floors climbed at zero and when I changed that the step goal changed worked.  Thank you!
