I got my Fitbit Versa 2 three days ago. It came with the old firmware. It started to update while I was setting it up. I’d like to check how it’s coming along. I was chatting with the support team and they were able to tell me the status of the download. Where can I find this information?
Alternatively, I seem to remember it asking whether to download via Bluetooth or Wifi. The Fitbit wasn’t picking up my internet so I chose Bluetooth. It did warn me it would take a long time, so my mistake I guess. I’m connected to the Wifi now. Can I change it to download via Wifi now?

Hi @Uhhhhhh - the easiest way to see firmware version is on the watch, go into Settings, scroll down to About, and there you will see the activation date and version.
While there scroll to the bottom and note you can Shutdown your watch if ever you need to fully restart it.

Thank you for your reply. My main issue is actually downloading the SpO2 clockface. From what I’ve read it looks like fitbit apps show up like this when the firmware isn’t up to date? Os this true?
This is what it looks like on the gallery in the app. If SpO2 is not available in my area (Hamilton, New Zealand) it wouldn’t show up, right? One of your advisors in a live chat told me it is available in my area. The version of my fitbit is 35.70.7.14. Is this the latest version? It doesn’t show an activation date.

@Uhhhhhh - you are not on the latest version and that is why you can't install the SpO2 clockface.
Latest version is What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?
It looks like your watch was Factory Reset or never installed properly so didn't get the more recent versions of firmware.

I assumed this was the case. So what do I do? There is no option to update it anywhere. The support person I spoke to via live chat a few days ago was able to tell me that it was in the process of updating, and they gave me a completion percentage. It has been over a week since I got it so if it was updating it should have been done by now.
