I am wanting to purchase music from Google Play to download to my Versa via the Windows Media Player. To test, I purchased one track which I can play via Google Play Music but how do I also download to my PC/Windows Media?

I usually use (and have for over a decade) a YouTube to mp3 convertor which means any song you can find on YouTube can be converted to a flat mp3 file which you can then use to listen to on any device that hosts music. I just got my versa 2 and have been able to transfer over the my exsisting media files this way. I know it's not a perfect solution for everyone as it can be quite tedious (and I've built my music collection over the years) but it is an option!

Hi there @Natzerat, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about wanting to download your Google Play music to your Versa 2. I appreciate the steps you tried so far to get it work.
Please note that the difficulties you're experiencing is due to Google Play Music is not yet compatible with Fitbit smartwatches. Though, you have other options to download music to your watch. For more information, see: How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch? and How do I control music with my Fitbit device?
I noticed that a suggestion to implement Google Play Music has been posted in our Feature Suggestion board here, it's currently marked as "not currently planned". You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

Thanks for your reply. So how exactly do I download music (legally) to my PC without using iTunes?

Hi there @Natzerat, you're very welcome.
Answering your question, you should be able to select one of the songs and command-i (or Edit > Song Info) and then on File tab the "kind" field will tell you the type of file.
You can also view from Library > Songs if you add "Kind" to columns. For more information, check this article.
You cannot transfer songs with DRM information to the Versa 2. You can transfer songs that you have purchased in iTunes (which do not have DRM information).
To download music files on a Mac, they must fall under one of the following audio file types:
Since you use iTunes, make sure you approve the app to share playlists with your watch: Open iTunes on your computer > Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Share iTunes Library XML with other applications > OK.
For best results, perform this process as close to your router as possible to reduce any interference.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.
