How do I get notifications from my tablet instead of my phone?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Galaxy Note 8 and an iPad Mini Gen 4. I am currently receiving text/call notifications on my Versa from my Note 8. I would like to able to receive them from my iPad but when I go to the Versa settings inside of the app and tap on "Notifications" it does nothing but spins. I have checked and both devices are compatible. I've turned them both off and on again. Restarted bluetooth. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Both have current software updates on them. It will not respond to the iPad for notifications. I use the iPad for work more than I use my phone and through Verizon I'm able to get my texts that people send to my phone on my iPad too. I can't sync iMessage to my Android. Having the Fitbit Versa receive messages from my iPad instead is way more convenient. Please help. I've ran out of ideas and forums to read.

Hello @SharlaMarie, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to try the following steps:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth on your phone.
  3. Go to the iPad and tap on Account > Versa > Notifications and try to enable them again.

If you have trouble enabling Notifications on the iPad, try the following:

  1. Restart the Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  2. Restart the iPad.
  3. Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around that might interfere
  4. Try to enable Notifications again.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

My iPad bluetooth does nothing but when I test it on my phone, it shows up. 😕

It has never been connected to the iPad.

Hello @SharlaMarie, I hope you're doing well, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have come back and detailed your findings. Please note that if your Versa is showing up in the Bluetooth devices on your iPhone, that means a Bluetooth connection has been established. We need to remove this link in order to set up Notifications from your iPad. Please tap on the Versa in the paired devices on your iPhone and select Forget this Device. After that, set up Notifications in your iPad by going to the Fitbit app on the iPad > Account > Versa > Notifications.

I hope this helps, give it a try and let us know the outcome.
