Hi I have purchased versa 3 and I would like to install the ecg app. However I’ve searched for the apps and I can’t locate the apps on the mobile app or on internet. Can you have the ecg app on versa 3.

I'm afraid only the Sense - and not the Versa 3 - has the necessary sensors to support the ECG app

@clarereardon If you aren't in the US and are thinking of exchanging your Versa 3 for a Sense, the ECG app isn't available in every country. See this page for the list of countries.

Hi there @clarereardon, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to search for the ECG app before reaching out.
As @SteveH and @LZeeW have mentioned, the Fitbit ECG app is currently available on Fitbit Sense. Please check the list of countries where the ECG app is available so you can make the right decision about whether or not keeping/exchanging your Versa 3.
Also, I'd recommend to visit What is the Fitbit ECG app?

@me1der I'm sorry, but the ECG can't be added to the Versa 2 or 3. The ECG feature needs more than just an app. It needs certain hardware and neither the Versa 2 nor Versa 3 have the hardware. Only the Sense and the Charge 5 have the necessary hardware.

I am sorry but for the price you pay this should be available to all Fitbit watches..I have the versa 3 and it was not cheap..I just find this totally unacceptable..

Hello @Buckskinbabe This thread was started before Fitbit began releasing its Irregular Rhythm Notification. A little clarification might help. The ECG feature and app record a 30 second ECG. This requires certain sensors that are only available on the Sense and Charge 5. Fitbit is rolling out its Irregular Rhythm Notification, a feature that uses the heart rate sensor (green LEDs) to look for signs of an irregular rhythm. Your Versa 3 will get this feature if you are in the US. I hope this helps.

Still have not received anything like that..I am a nurse and I know the importance of a feature for people like myself..I have cardiac and bp issues so this feature would have been nice..I have only had my Versa 3 for maybe a year..I am not going to go buy a Sense just to get this feature if I am going to buy another watch I will not buy another Fitbit product..I am sorry but this should have been researched better..I have noticed a lot of people asking about this feature and not happy about just made available for one watch..I am just upset with the way it was brought out..so in turn if we do not have the Sense we are left basically in the lurch.

@Buckskinbabe The Irregular Rhythm Notifications are being rolled out to nine Fitbit devices in the US. Fitbit expects it will take weeks to roll it out to eligible users. Neither I, nor my family members who wear Fitbits, have received it. You aren't being left in the lurch. This Help article will tell you what to expect when you get it.
This thread was started before the Charge 5 was released. The Sense and Charge 5 have the hardware to run a 30 second Lead I ECG. Two fingers of one hand and your wrist with the watch on it come the white and black leads, depending on where you wear your watch. The Sense and the Versa 3 were released at the same time. Fitbit aggressively markets the Sense. Yet you bought a Versa 3. I hope the Irregular Rhythm Notification will meet your needs. If you are in the US, you will get them.

Haven't got them yet..I don't care how aggressively you pushed the sense..The AFib should have been made and adjusted for both watches..When it first was announced the Versa 3 was included..I base my opinions on product and I feel you left all the people down who purchased the Versa 3..Like I said I will get a different watch that actually picks up AFib but I will never buy another Fitbit product..very unhappy

This page has been my go to for support as it outlines which devices the ECG app is available on at this time: Sense and Charge 5.
All is not lost if you own a Versa 3 and are in the US, however. Like many other Fitbit devices (see below) you can make use of the irregular heartbeat notification. Whether this will be expanded to other countries is yet to be seen as they are still rolling out the ECG app to available countries for the most current models
"How to get these features
Irregular heart rhythm notifications are available in the United States.
This feature is compatible with Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Versa Lite, Charge 5, Charge 4, Charge 3, Luxe and Inspire 2."

Buckskin, same here. Got my versa 3 a year ago. The specs were very similar to the Sense and I would have got the Sense if I knew this was coming. I want the real time ecg feature but I'm not buying a sense to get it. I got an Apple watch instead. something to consider.

You’ll receive notification as it is rolled out. You need to just wait. Stupid to run to another device when you have this one, just wait, if you are In the usa it you will get it soon. I’m in New Zealand so won’t get it until it is authorised here. People are too impatient with technology.
the Irregular heart rhythm notifications are not being rolled out to just one watch but several.

Sounds like the roll out is done in the US and the Versa 3 didn't get the real time ecg feature. It got the irreg heart rhythm notification but that's all.

@DayZie I don't think the roll out is done. I know three people (in the US) who haven't received it yet.

Versa 3 is only ever getting the irregular heart rhythm notifications, the watch isn’t getting ecg, never was advertised to get it, isn’t built for it. Fitbit has never claimed it would get ecg
