It will not sync, so I’m assuming it’s either too far away or dead. It was already low battery when I originally took it off. Please help

Hello @moominsrebel and welcome to the Community. Fitbits have about a 30 ft (10 m) Bluetooth range. Please tap on your device/battery icon, then your Versa 2 tile. You should be able to see the last sync time. Fitbits are supposed to sync every 15 minutes. You might be able to remember where you were at that time. You wrote that you took it off, not that it fell off. If the battery is dead, then you need retrace your steps and look for it. A Bluetooth finder app can't help you if the battery is dead
