How do I log my Aqua aerobics classes?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi all. I have been using my Versa for a few days now, but I have some disabilities and I can only exercise in the pool. I take part in four or five Aqua aerobics classes a week, but as yet, I haven't been able to get the versa to track my exercise properly.

I've tried it on the workout shortcut, but it cuts off after a while, I think because my classes are an hour long and continuous. I've tried swim mode but this doesn't work either? I am going to try the circuit training mode tomorrow, but I wonder if anyone has any suggestions?

Its quite important that I track my heart rate and calories burned while exercising, which is why I got it in the first place, after using my Flex 2 for a year. Thanks

You can put it in us water aerobics. I just use the workout setting.

I look forward to hearing how this worked for you. I’m considering Charge3, but if it won’t track my water aerobics activity, it won’t be right for me!

I’ve seen previous messages/replies re: the Aquafit topic, but I still can’t get my Versa to recognize my water aerobic activity.

It recognized it as Elliptical. I’m new to Fitbit Versa, so any help would be appreciated. 😊

Hi. I have been using the treadmill setting on mine.  Seems reasonably accurate.

Steps reported without walking are because of your arm movements. If I play a number of (fast) reels on my fiddle I get astonishing numbers of steps recorded even while standing still, because my bow arm is moving rapidly. I put up with it because the heart rate records actually show pretty high figures, in fact, even better than going up the local almost-mountain. Go figure.

Perhaps I should take up the fiddle.

I think I'll try the intervals timer cos I will be "running" and slowing in
bursts. If the rain clears so I get back to a pool before my knee op on 6th
Feb, that is. Not wanting it clear, bym! We haven't had near enough yet.

I think I figured this out.

select the exercise+ tab

select the "log" option

In the search field type in water aerobics and select it

Then you will come to the log exercise  with the date, start time, duration etc.

I will test this tomorrow!

Sounds good. I'll try it when we get back in the water, but I've now
learned the heart monitor function, which I like to record rates over the
workout, doesn't work underwater anyway. 🤔
