Hi all. I have been using my Versa for a few days now, but I have some disabilities and I can only exercise in the pool. I take part in four or five Aqua aerobics classes a week, but as yet, I haven't been able to get the versa to track my exercise properly.
I've tried it on the workout shortcut, but it cuts off after a while, I think because my classes are an hour long and continuous. I've tried swim mode but this doesn't work either? I am going to try the circuit training mode tomorrow, but I wonder if anyone has any suggestions?
Its quite important that I track my heart rate and calories burned while exercising, which is why I got it in the first place, after using my Flex 2 for a year. Thanks

Hey @siouxabbs, a warm welcome to the Forums.
Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Have you tried to manually log your exercise? If you haven't, I recommend manually log it by doing the following from your Fitbit app:
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.

@AlejandraFitbit I thought the Versa was supposed to be able to accurately log water aerobics WITHOUT having to manually enter the workout. It is the whole reason I got the Versa. If this isn’t the case I will return the Versa. Is there not a way to have it log water aerobics accurately without having to manually add it? When I had my Alta I had to manually add it since the Alta isn’t water resistant. It would my heart rate would be around 111 (which I know is an average for water aerobics) however I know that mine gets higher. I wanted the Versa as I thought it would give more accurate information. Should I just return the Versa?

My understanding is that the Versa will auto-log laps swam in pool, but not water aerobics. I use My Fitness Pal to log my workouts since it syncs with my Fitbit, and Water Aerobics is a category that calculates ur calories burned by duration along with ur profile info (height/weight/gender ).

Hi, I am in exactly the same predicament. I do several aqua classes (general fitness and zumba), my old fitbit flex 2 (at about $50!) had a setting for water aerobics, but not my new versa (at $200!). I do not care about having music and notifications, I just want to track exercise and food

I used my Versa for the first time in a Water Aerobics class today. It also cut off after 47 minutes. The strange thing is after it dried out...it synced with my phone & the 47 minutes are logged in the app but don't show up on the watch itself. Which is frustrating to say the least & to add to the misery.....what about the last 15 minutes?!?! I bought the Versa coz I honestly couldn't afford a Garmin....but 3 weeks into my purchase I'm totally regretting it.
Forgive me for saying so...but this is a non-response. Manually tracking an exceedingly could have been done with many apps that did not require the purchase of a Fitbit Versa. The whole point is to have the accuracy.

Just used my new charge 3 for aqua fitness and very disappointed it was a hard class and my calories burned showed 198 for the hour I set it at swim but obviously that didnt work on my garmin I used to use "other" bu tdont know with this ....I only bought it because of the swim mode I thought it would recognize it ...maybe return it and go back to my garmin
I tried this but only 212 calories are showing up for an hr high intensity workout this is totally inaccurate.
I tried manually log ging it as was suggested but only 212 calories are showing up for an hr high intensity workout this is totally inaccurate I am really confused now and on my tracker I only have the options to run elliptical lift weights or swim
not impressed with it at all

You have to use the workout setting for aquafit.
Use the workout setting for the class

@Slynny The versa only has default exercises on it, there are more if you go into the app. I haven’t looked for the aqua fit yet. I don’t remember seeing that previously though.
