This problem should not be marked as solved. The Versa is being sold faulty. I contacted Fit it directly after they gave me all the ways to fix this issue.   They admitted fault and told me they were working with their team to ensure the importance of usable devices & then offered me a replacement. The replacement however would have the exact same problem.   So I got onto the retailer I purchased the device from (Kogan) who are notoriously difficult to get a refund from. When I explained the situation and showed them the email from Fitbit admitting fault they emailed me a return label straight away with no questions asked.   Very disappointed. I've had an Alta for years. Loved it. Loved the Versa, but what's the point in buying a watch with a fault? It can happen again. Sure I can just not use my card on the device, but what's the point in buying a car and not using the accelerator?   So like I said. I'm not sure why this is marked as solved. It is for some people but not for many. And the issue hasn't been dealt with?

I've removed reference to any regulatory sorry now so my post should not be removed again.

Sorry that your issue isn't resolved. Even though my issue was fixed, I
never marked resolved on the post because I may have the same problem again
in the future with the Versa.
I'm having an issue where my notifications are not coming through via my
phone. When I get the notifications to work, a day later, the notifications
stop working again. Seeing who is calling me on my phone through my fitbit
is about 80% of why I have a fitbit because I always misplace my phone. But
again, its not working.
Technology is getting out of hand and developers are trying to pair one
device with 50 others and everything is going haywire. You can create a
patch for these issues only so many times.
This is my 2nd fitbit because my first one, The Alta stopped holding a
charge. This is the same thing that happens with cell phone. After about a
couple of yrs, the cell phone begin to lose its charge in about a half day.
I am convinced that these batteries are purposely made to die out just so
the consumer can purchase another one. If developers can create the website
that can connect the whole world, surely they can develop a long lasting
battery. It is and always will be about the bottomline, the all might
DOLLAR...

This is the EXACT same problem I’m having. My watch is stuck on the languages screen but there’s no choice to move forward or anything. The factory reset did work in settings when I was able to get to it but then when I started the set up process the Versa actually got to 5% updated before it froze then I had to unplug and try again, that’s when I got in the situation I’m in right now. I’m about done with it as well!

I'm not able to even scroll to the settings card. It's like my screen is frozen. The side buttons work to change the screen once, but after that I can't swipe.

What if it is locked and unpaired from phone? How to use the buttons to factory reset? The online articles I read says it should be conntected to charger while we press the three buttons. HOw can you press buttons while it is being charged? I tried pressing buttons wihtout connecting to charger and it is not working.

Any help is much appreciated

hi

my versa is locked with a pin code and I removed the device from my account. Now I can't setup the device again because it says unlock on phone - it is not connected to phone. Can't do anything now.

My son locked my watch by entering the wrong pin too many times I cant access the setting menu because its locked. Is there a way I can do a factory reset without the setting menu?

Have to admit...your example is worse then mine.

When I contacted support because I was not receiving the confirmation email they asked me to send a copy of another email I might have received from FitBit, such as a low battery email...this after confirming my email was not registered in their database!!!

I’ve performed a factory reset in the hope that I start receiving all notifications again...after the first recharge my Versa stopped receiving notifications from WhatsUp...what fun I’ve had this past week with my Versa...not!

I don't understand how anyone is having any success with a reset. As noted, there is no way to follow the reset directions since buttons aren't accessible when it's in the charger. I don't even have a Settings icon on my Versa anymore. I'm not black screened, but no syncing, watch isn't even keeping time.

I have nothing but problems with this thing. So disappointing, so frustrating.

Can anyone help?

how do I reset my fitbit versa

I wish I had a answer. I’ve had so much trouble with my Versa. It has now stopped tracking sleeping in addition to notifications. The last time I did a reset was when I called Fitbit and was on the phone for an hour. And as for steps, I’m sure this is true with all step-counters, but if I don’t walk, but move my arms, it’s counted as steps. I really think I’m going back to my old watch and just use it to keep time!
